That means that in a one-time commission scheme, you only get paid once for the same amount of work you put into marketing a specific affiliate program, but in a residual program, you get paid consistently!

A residual affiliate program, which pays just $10 for each affiliate-initiated sale, is what the second merchant offers in addition to an affiliate program.

As affiliates, we can be immediately drawn to the first merchant’s offer because $80 is unquestionably much more than $10.

However, by considering the situation before acting on it, one could be able to determine that the second merchant is providing us with more chances to make more money.

The first retailer will pay you once for the sale you started if you sent traffic to the shop and it resulted in a sale.

With the second merchant, however, you will receive a monthly payment as long as the client you recommended to the merchant keeps using the site hosting service.

That means that for the same effort of getting one customer to avail of the merchant’s service, you get paid monthly in residual affiliate programs, while you only get paid once in a one-time commission type of affiliate program.

So, are residual affiliate programs worth promoting?

Definitely yes, because you virtually get more money from these types of affiliate programs in the long run!

And would residual affiliate programs work best for you?

Probably not, probably yes.

It is not really for me to tell.

But with the benefits that residual affiliate marketing can provide, it would really be unwise to ignore such programs.
